What stops you from achieving your goals?
Everyone wants to be successful, but there are several things and conditions that stop us from achieving our set goals. There are several habits that we develop that makes us unproductive and several distractions that make it hard for us to start our goals. In this post, we are going to discuss those little unhealthy and unnoticed habits that keep us from achieving our goals.
The number one reason why we do not achieve our goals is that we have developed the habit of excuses. We often complain that we are not ready,
We are too young/old
Not the right time
Not good enough
We do not have enough money
Too hard and several other excuses.
If you find yourself doing this more often, stop and realize that you are afraid of staying in your comfort zone and not doing anything. That’s why you are so busy making excuses that sound convincing.
Another reason why we find it hard to take action and achieve our goal is because we procrastinate a lot. Even after setting goals, putting up reminders, we still find a way to postpone everything, and we keep doubting our abilities and fearing the future. The biggest time killer is procrastination, and I hope we all remember this whenever we decide to postpone our activities.
Distractions are one of the many temptations everyone experiences while trying to achieve their dreams. We get distracted by friends, social media, movies, and several other activities that are not that important at the moment. There will be people who will doubt you, people who will deliberately waste your time. These are distractions because they only bring temporary happiness.
Expecting so much is one of the easiest ways to be disappointed in life. This is one of the reasons why we do not achieve our goals. We expect that when we start a business, we should be able to achieve a lot and cash in earlier. When things don’t turn out the way we expect, we feel upset and lose the motivation to get started.
Writing down your goals is simple, setting a reminder is easy, but convincing yourself to carry out that activity is the main goal. So how do we ditch the fantasies we live in? How do we successfully achieve our goals? How do we overcome these habits?
